Group of reflux water treatment facilities

A reflux treatment plant has been operating on Poznań’s waste dump site since 1996. Reflux waters from waste storage quarters are delivered via a bottom drainage system through two retention ponds to the treatment plant at an approximate rate of 30 cu. m daily. The reflux treatment plant operates on the reverse osmosis principle, which is classified as one of cross filtration methods. Raw reflux water flows at a high rate along the surface of membranes, and clean water permeates the membranes in a vertical plane. This process utilizes different diffusion qualities of reflux water components where water with lower molar mass permeates the membranes first. Reflux waters after treatment are discharged to the environment according to the permit issued under the Water Law Act.
